Okay, why name the archive 'The Nurse's Station'? Most of them are Doctors! Because other than it being the place to store massive piles of paperwork (ie charts, or in our case here, fanfiction), it's also usually a gathering spot for all of the characters. A place to gossip and catch up and pretty much slack off. What better name is there for a fanfiction archive? :-P So then, why are you archiving Scrubs fanfiction? Most fandoms have a central archive for their fanfiction. Somplace other than fandom communities on livejournal and yahoo, someplace other than fanfiction.net. I had yet to find a Scrubs version. Nothing for all fiction, nothing pairing specific, nothing at all. So insanely I decided to attempt to fill that void. Don't you just write slash? Mostly. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate het and gen fics. I want this to be a haven for any pairing, any fic. The more easy access to all fic, the better the fandom will be! What if I don't write fic? How can I help? Spread the word. Do you know some awesome fic writers? Maybe some that no longer actively write, but have some fantastic stories out there already? Don't be shy to send links to scrubsfic@fenfanfair.com or even send an email to your fav author letting them know about this archive. Authors love to be remembered, feedback is king. :-D |
